OR-YEHUDA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2004--Do-Coop Technologies announced today the general availability of a novel water-based buffer for enzyme stabilization and storage and a new immobilization agent for binding proteins and oligonucleutides to solid phase matrices. "Our customers can now use NeowaterTM to greatly improve the immobilization of oligonucleutides and proteins to microtiter plates, microassays, and a variety of substrates. NeowaterTM can deliver extended storage and significant stabilization in addition to the exclusion of glycerol that is in use in enzyme storage," said CEO Dr. Avi Messica. "Our products are now also available in the USA and Canada through Accurate Chemical & Scientific Corporation and we are well positioned to address the needs and requirements of our customers," he added.
As part of its commercialization phase the company recruited Dr. Liora Madar-Shapiro as its director of biotechnology and Hagit Gershtenman-Avsian as its director of process engineering. "These new recruitments strengthen our product and customer support capabilities," said founder and CTO Mr. Eran Gabbai "as we are firmly committed to further introduce more products in the near future."
Do-Coop is now looking for strategic partnerships to leverage its technology and penetrate additional products and applications in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. The company will report about these partnerships in the near future.
