Do-Coop Drug Delivery Systems, Drug Development for the Pharma Industry

Solubilization

Solubilization is the act of dissolving a substance into a solvent usually, Solubilization of hydrophobic (non-polar) compounds is performed using organic solvents such as Ethanol, Acetone, DMSO etc. Today it is possible to dissolve Hydrophobic compounds with Neowater®, a novel water-based nanotechnology that incorporates inorganic and insoluble nanoparticles into water in a unique and patented process.

A new Solubilization service , provided by the use of Neowater® has significant value-added in Drug delivery applications due to no or less use of toxic solvents used in the Solubilization process. Solubilization service can be customized to the needs of the client in order to maintain the active compound's stability as well as enhancing bioavailability. The superior physical environment created as a result of this process can easily be integrated into already existed formulations or new drugs/formulations.

Neowater® is designed to be easy to use and low-cost; it is nontoxic, environmentally friendly; its added value as a replacement for organic solvents is significant to the Biotech and Pharma industries. The solubilization process enables the interactions, activation and reactions of molecules in many biological systems and is one of the first barriers in any drug formulation and drug development.
